Oxfam's presence as aNon-Government Organizations(NGOs) have a positive impactfor the people ofPapua, especiallywomen. Throughthis study, the authorsreviewOxfameffortsin reducing thegender gapinPapua. This studyis based on theliteratureand datadirectlyfrom theOxfamofficeinPapua. Thisstudyoutlinesthe effortsof Oxfamfound thatasNGOsin reducing thegender gapinPapuathroughPapuanWomen's Empowerment(PAWE) isto empowerinternallyandempowerment ofwomen's organizationsin Papua.as for thepurposeofPapuanWomen's Empowermentprogramis to encourageandchange theperspective ofthe people of Papuato genderas well astoempowerthe womenof Papuawhichareunderlinedpoverty, by increasingwomen's participationin the implementationand decision-making processin acommunity-baseddevelopmentprograms.
